Why be a good person? Hmmm..... by your logic the only reason that someone does not rape women is because some 2000 year old book say not to. It can't possibly be due to any sense of empathy. Nahhh.... 

Finland, Czech Republic, Hungary... all have higher rates of atheism (and have for decades) and yet do not have nearly the amount of spree killings/school shootings. But religion is the one and only factor involved.

A belief doesn't have to be religious.

I don't believe in whatever God some church says I should.
I left that dreamland long ago as a **** child.

But allowing that some true believers find solace and purpose is not a tough concept for me.
You guys can all piss on my shoes about that and win that popularity contest, too.
